In a draft that featured a host of NFL hopefuls, a look at what might be on the table for the next generation of talent was revealed.
In the NFL Mock Draft, Bleacher Report’s Aaron Schatz and Michael Silver break down the draft’s top prospects and give a detailed breakdown of each player.
First up, we’ll look at the quarterback position.
While we have not had a clear look at all the prospects at this point in time, we do know that Ohio State’s J.T. Barrett, Clemson’s Deshaun Watson, Notre Dame’s Deshad Tomlinson, Notregy’s Everett Golson, Florida State’s Mitch Trubisky and Penn State’s Jacob Eason are among the top three quarterbacks in the class.
We will also discuss the top wide receivers in the draft.
We know that Alabama’s Dez Bryant, LSU’s Adoree Jackson, Ohio State QB Dak Prescott and Penn Staters Christian Hackenberg and Corey Coleman are among those that could be available at the position.
The next player we look at is the defensive end.
This position will have plenty of intrigue this offseason, especially if former Alabama star J.J. Watt leaves the league, but it is unclear whether that will have an impact on the next class of draft prospects.
We will take a look on the interior defensive linemen in the first round.
With the recent injuries to many of the players on the defensive line, it will be interesting to see how the team approaches this position in the coming years.
There is still a lot to be determined, but there are plenty of teams that could potentially use a veteran presence.
The last position to get a lot of attention in the NFL Draft was wide receiver.
While the team has not had many of its top targets, the team is going to have to continue to make a name for itself at the wide receiver position.
While some players like LSU’s Kenny Golladay and Oklahoma’s Dwayne Bowe could be targets in the later rounds, the real star is Ohio State receiver Corey Coleman.
The Buckeyes receiver is one of the most talented prospects in the country, with an array of skills.
He has good size, good speed and great hands.
Coleman also has an outstanding catch radius and excellent speed, making him one of NFL’s best routes runners.
The Browns should have a huge need for an elite receiver, and with that, Coleman is an ideal target for Cleveland.
The Buckeyes have not made a name as a team, but this year they are a perennial contender.
