The money will go to charity, according to his official Facebook page.
He also thanked fans on the page.
“I can’t thank you enough for all the support.
You’re all the best, thank you all for believing in me and I can’t wait to see you all in the future,” he wrote.
The winner of the lottery, who was born in New Zealand, said the money would go to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
“It will go directly to a charity, it will be donated to the local Aboriginal childrens hospital,” he said.
“There will be a big post on my Facebook page and a message on the front page of the site that says ‘Thank you’.
It is very important for me to make sure that I don’t forget anyone who supported me.”
He also revealed his favorite part of the win: the people who donated money for the surgery he had.
“Every one of you helped me.
You gave me the courage to go through with this surgery.
It has been a lot of fun.
The most important thing is that I was able to share my story with the world and share my stories with people, and I hope that they will be inspired to help out,” he added.
The 28-year-old also thanked the fans for their support.
“The last week has been the most exciting week of my life.
My friends, family and fans have been amazing, I can just thank you so much for everything you’ve done,” he posted.
“You’ve been amazing and I wish you all the very best.”
The $500k prize has yet to be confirmed.
